MICROBLADING IS A FORM OF TATTOO. It can last anywhere from 1-3 years depending on the person's diligence with aftercare instructions, their skin type (oily skin tends to push pigment out faster and look more powdery), hormones, medication, sun exposure and chemicals such as in skin care products used on the face. Everyone's skin takes pigment differently, so there are no guarantees as to how fast it will fade for each person. Typically, most clients need a touch-up/color boost once a year however oily/'orange peel' skin, those who have rigorous skin care routines and those who are very physically active may require a third session within the first year and touch ups sooner than one year.
BEFORE YOU BOOK AN APPOINTMENT:
This procedure is not recommended for those who are pregnant or nursing therefore I will not perform it even if you have a Dr's note. It is better to be safe than sorry and wait until you are neither. If you're using any kind of acne medication either oral or topical I need to know about it. Some medication can be stopped prior to the procedure and others cannot. No Botox for 3 weeks before or after, no skin disorders, and no blood thinners etc.
If you have any further questions you can text me @ (520) 270-1518
24 hours BEFORE your appointment:
*NO aspirin or blood thinners
*NO working out
*NO Fish Oil
*NO Vitamin E
*NO Sun bathing
(All of these can cause excessive bleeding.)
Also, YOU WILL BE MORE SENSITIVE DURING YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE. Try to book on an off week.
What to expect AT YOUR APPOINTMENT:
We will discuss desired shape, I will measure and map out your brows and once you've approved the shape I will numb you and we will begin. After the first pass I will numb you again and if needed a third time to ensure your comfort.
Most clients report that the pain is minimal or even non existant but everyone's pain threshold is different so I cannont tell you for certain how you will personally feel. I have had the procedure done myself using the same methods I do and I found it to be quite easy.
Expect to be at your first appointment between 1.5 - 2hrs.
I will go over healing instructions and provide you with the aftercare products needed to ensure your best results.
Your brows may be a bit tender and/or red for a few hours after the procedure but that will fade. You can return to work, attend social functions or run errands directly after your appointment as long as you keep your brows out of the sun with a hat or otherwise.
The complimentary follow-up appointment will be 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment. This is important to fill in any gaps or lines where the pigment faded, to darken color or to adjust the shape if you want changes. The touch-up sessions take 1- 2 hrs. During this appointment the magic happens! If you liked your brows after the first session, you'll LOVE them after the second.
They will NOT be completely IDENTICAL. I do my best to get them as close as I possibly can, but a reminder that this procedure is done by hand. I take my time measuring and shaping your brow based on your facial structure but I don't use a stencil or a machine. Rest assured I will do my best to give you the most symmetrical brows possible!
For their safety, my comfort and your best possible outcome there will be ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN OR PETS allowed in HIGH BROW WAXING AND SKIN during microblading. I like to give my full attention to you and I expect you to do the same.
Please make prior arrangements for them.
Space in my studio is very limited, so I ask that you clear any additional guests with me prior to your appointment. If you want to bring your husband, relative etc that may be ok but I reserve the right to deny anyone beside you.
What to expect AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT:
By the third day your brows will be their darkest. This is normal. Some people will flake and very few will scab during healing. Picking flakes or scabs can result in loss of pigment or undesirable healing. Let your brows heal on their own! It is typical for pigment to fade up to 50% after the first appointment has healed. This is why we have a second session! I will provide you with aftercare instructions and products to care for your brows while they heal.
*DO NOT GET THEM WET outside of when you are directed to wash and apply after care
*AVOID SWEATING FOR 10 DAYS. THIS IS A VITAL STEP! THOSE WITH THE BEST RESULTS STOP WORKING OUT FOR 10 DAYS! If you can't commit you will not get a good result!
*NO sun exposure or tanning
*NO scrubbing, rubbing, no lotions, serums or makeup on them
*NO facials/laser treatments for a month
*NO saunas and avoid hot showers, minimize your showers to no more than 10 minutes during healing
If you need an additional touch-up within the first 3 months it's $80 an hour and usually takes no more than an hour
YEARLY TOUCH UP: $200
$150 due at time of appointment

CAUTION - The state of Arizona does not require any licensing or certifications to perform microblading. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH! Not all microbladers are created equal. Some are self-taught, some learned from YouTube, others have had extensive and multiple trainings. Not all microbladers are certified or licensed. I am probably not the cheapest but I know I'm not the most expensive. I am a licensed esthetician in AZ, double microblade certified, Li Pigment certified, Blood Born Pathogens certifed and insured. There are a few different methods to microblading - some do NOT numb you, while others DO numb. Just make sure you do your homework before finding the right fit for you. Ask questions and choose wisely! Look at their portfolio of before and afters carefully especially HEALED PICTURES!! Make sure to go with someone who's style you like even if they are a little bit more expensive.
