Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions concerning MICROBLADING
PRIOR TO BOOKING MICROBLADING:
1) Read MICROBLADE FAQ's and the microblade consent form here on my website
2) If you can commit to the before and after care and the "not a good candidate" list doesn't apply to you,
text me at (520) 270-1518 and we can move forward.
IF YOU HAVE A PREVIOUS BROW TATTOO YOU MUST SEND ME A PICTURE OF YOUR BROWS WITH NOTHING ON THEM IN GOOD LIGHTING BEFORE WE BOOK ANY APPT! I need to make sure the previous tattoo is faded enough for microblading to make a difference and give the desired look.
3) $100 non refundable deposit (goes towards total cost of service) must be paid. I will send an invoice via email.
*Once the deposit is paid we will book your appts.
We will discuss shape and realistic expectations the day of your appointment. My artistic style is very natural and not too overdone. Please feel free to bring pictures of yourself or others with a shape you like. Visuals are very helpful.
Microblading total $475
Total due at time of microblading appointment $375
Good candidates for this procedure are those with hair loss, lack of shape, thin brows due to over plucking, chemotherapy, Alopecia, to help cover scars, to add more length to short brows, to add fullness to thin brows, to correct asymmetrical brows and for those with active lifestyles who are looking to save time while getting ready.
YOU ARE NOT A CANDIDATE IF ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO YOU:
Pregnant or Nursing
Diabetes (unless well managed)
Take blood thinners
Using Retin A or Acutane
Prone to Keloid Scarring
Microblading is a form of tattoo. It can last anywhere from 1-3 years depending on the person's diligence with aftercare instructions, their skin type (oily skin tends to push pigment out faster and look more powdery), hormones, medication, sun exposure and chemicals used on the face. Everybody's skin takes pigment differently, so there are no guarantees as to how fast it will fade for each person. Typically, most clients only need a touch-up/color boost once a year.
Once the skin is healed the pigment lines wont be as crisp as they were during the inital procedure. They will soften and look a little more 'fuzzy'.
BEFORE YOU BOOK AN APPOINTMENT:
This procedure is not recommended for those who are pregnant or nursing therefore I will not perform it even if you have a Dr's note. Better to be safe than sorry and wait until you are neither. If you're using any kind of acne medication either oral or topical I need to know about it. Some medication can be stopped prior to the procedure and others cannot. No Botox for a few weeks before or after, no skin disorders, and no blood thinners etc. If you have further questions about this we will cover it during the consultation.
24 hours BEFORE your appointment:
*NO aspirin or blood thinners
*NO working out
*NO Fish Oil
*NO Vitamin E
*NO Sun bathing
(All of these can cause excessive bleeding.)
Also, YOU WILL BE MORE SENSITIVE DURING YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE. Try to book on an off week.
What to expect AT YOUR APPOINTMENT:
They will NOT be completely IDENTICAL. I try my best to get them that way, but this procedure is done by hand. I do lots of shaping and measuring but I don't use a stencil or a machine. I will do my best to give you the best brows possible!
We will discuss desired shape, I will measure and map out your brows and once you've approved the shape I will numb you and we will begin. After the first pass I will numb you once more. Expect to be at your first appointment between 1.5 - 2hrs.
The complimentary follow-up appointment will be 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment. This is important to fill in any gaps or faded lines where the pigment didn't take, or to adjust the shape if you want changes. The touch-up sessions take 1- 2 hrs. The touch-up appointment is where the magic happens! If you liked your brows after the first session, you'll LOVE them after the second.
For their safety, my comfort and your best possible brows there will be ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN OR PETS allowed in HIGH BROW WAXING AND SKIN during microblading.
Please make prior arrangements for them.
Space is very limited, so I ask that you clear any additional guests with me prior to your appointment. If you want to bring your husband, relative etc that may be ok but I reserve the right to deny anyone beside you.
What to expect AFTER APPOINTMENT:
The first 7-10 days your brows will get VERY DARK. This is normal. Some people will flake and a few will scab during healing. Picking flakes or scabs can result in loss of pigment or healing. Let your brows heal on their own! It is typical for pigment to fade up to 50% after it heals. I will provide you with aftercare instructions and balm to care for your brows while they heal. Basically no getting them wet for two weeks outside of washing them as I instruct you to. No direct sun exposure, no scrubbing, rubbing, no lotions, serums or makeup on them. Try not to sweat the first 10 days. THIS IS A VITAL STEP! THOSE WITH THE BEST RESULTS STOP WORKING OUT FOR 10 DAYS! Put balm on them prior to showering or washing your face. This acts as a barrier in case they get splashed. If they do accidentally get wet, carefully blot dry.
If you want/need additional touch-ups within the first 3 months it's $80 an hour.
YEARLY TOUCH UP: $200
HOURS OF OPERATION
CAUTION - not all microbladers are created equal. Some are self-taught, some learned from YouTube, others have had extensive and multiple trainings . Not all microbladers are certified and licensed. I am probably not the cheapest but I know I'm not the most expensive. There are a few different methods to microblading - some do NOT numb you, while others DO numb. Just make sure you do your homework before finding the right fit for you. Ask questions and choose wisely! Look at their portfolio of before and afters carefully especially HEALED PICTURES!!
